  Biography  

Dr. Schlomo Staszewski

Dr. Staszewski is Director of the Out-Patient Clinic for HIV Infected patients and Director of the Antiretroviral Research Unit, JW Goethe-University Frankfurt am Main. He also serves as senior physician for Internal Medicine at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University Frankfurt.

Dr. Staszewski has many years experience carrying out therapeutic and epidemiologic studies in HIV, serving, most recently, as principal investigator in several international multicenter studies with new HIV compounds. He has published extensively in the field of HIV/AIDS and currently serves as Editor of HIV-Medicine.

Dr. Staszewski is an Executive Committee Member of the European AIDS Clinical Society (E.A.C.S.) and sits on a number of advisory boards. He is an internationally recognized speaker and educator.

As a result of his research involvement and expertise, Dr. Staszewski was the recipient of the 1996 German AIDS Research Award.
